The Institution of Engineers( India) have largest number of state and local centre in India and abroad than any other professional engineering body in India. these state and local centre are the backbone of IE(I) to help and guide the students.
Solapur local centre was inaugurated by Sh. madan Lal, Presedent of IR (I) on 22nd Aug 2010 at Solapur 100 th centre of IE (I).
Rear Admiral K O Thakare,NM ,Shri R P Gupta Past President , Shri G Prabhakar Hon'ble Council Member, Shri Shanti Lal Jain,Chairman Maharashtra State Centre and Cdr Arvind Poothia, DG ESCI graced the occasion. Maj Gen R K Sanan, SDG , read out the Warrant of Establishment of Solapur State Centre which was later presented by Shri Madan Lal, President IEI to Sh HN Somani, Chairman of Solapur Local Centre. Maharashtra State Centre Committee nominated Chairman and Honorary Secretary of the First Committee of Solapur Local centre as under :- Sh H N Somani, FIE Chairman Prof G K Deshmukh, FIE Honorary Secretary.
