Inugration of IEI's Manipur State Centre

The Institution of Engineers(India) Largest Number of State and Local Centres in India Other that any Professional engineering body in India.Mr Madan Lal, President, IEI, inaugurated the Manipur State Centre of the Institution on April 24, 2010 at Imphal which is the ninety-eighth Centre of the Institution.
In his inaugural address, Mr Madan Lal highlighted the objectives of the Institution and offered his full support for further development of the Centre. Mr L Jayanta Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Minister for
Higher and Technical Education, Government of Manipur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and expressed his happiness for establishing this Centre.

He felt that the engineers in this region would be benefitted from this Centre.Mr R P Gupta, Past President, IEI, Mr D V Nagabhushan, a Member of IEI Council, MrA K Mitra, Chairman, Task Force for New State Centres along with other members of the Task Force were present on theoccasion. Maj Gen (Retd) R K Sanan, VSM,Secretary and Director General, IEI, read out the Warrant of Establishment of the Manipur State Centre which was later presented by Mr Madan Lal President, IEI, to Mr Angou Singh, Chairman of the Manipur
State Centre. Mr G N Khound, Chairman and Prof A K Mishra, Honorary Secretary of the
Assam State Centre, along with other dignitaries also participated in the function and extended their whole-hearted support
