Announcment For Postgraduate Diploma Examinations – Summer 2010
1. Summer 2010 Examination of Postgraduate Diploma will be conducted as per the revised syllabi only during April 8-11, 2010 at five Centres, viz., Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and
Nagpur.
2.The last date of receipt of Examination Application Forms, along with requisite fee (Rs. 1500/-), bydemand draft, is March 01, 2010.
3. Registration for Part I shall be valid for maximum three years from the date of registration. The maximum time limit to pass Part I, II and III of the programme will 4 (four) years.
4.The session and year of passing Part I of the programme shall be considered for reckoning the time limit of four years. A student shall complete Part I and II of programme within two years (four consecutive sessions) and also Part III in two
years (four consecutive sessions). In case a student takes more than two years to complete Part I and II, the maximum time available for completing Part III for him/her would stand reduced accordingly. Minimum time required for
Part III would be one year (two semesters at BIT, Ranchi).
5.Fresh registration is permissible to candidates unable to pass Part I examination within the stipulated period.
6.Specialization in Production/Manufacturing in Mechanical Engineering has been discontinued with the implementation of the Revised Syllabi with effect from Summer 2010.
