After submitting online exam form/online payment, you must send a copy of this form (or just details) with transaction id to IEI.
Admit card/roll number appears on IEI website or on http://www.amiestudycircle.com/ about 10 days before exams.
2.What is difference between admission form and exam form?
To apply for admission, you will need admission (membership) form.
To appear in exams, you should fill and send exam form to IEI with DD of requisite fee. You can appear in AMIE exams only after getting membership.
3.What do Summer and Winter exams mean?
Summer exams are held in the month of June in first week (generally from first Saturday).
Winter exams are held in the month of December in first week (generally from first Saturday).
4.If I left the previous exam, can I attend the next exam?
Yes, definitely. If you skip previous exam then it does not matter. Just forget it.
Fill exam form for next exam in the notified duration and send it to IEI, Kolkata with specified exam fee.
5.What are the reasons of exam form rejections?
Frequent reasons of Exam form rejection are given below (with clause):
2.01
The particulars quoted in the examination application form are either wrong or incomplete, that is, Membership Number missing/wrong Membership Number (Clause 3.3).
2.02
You are not eligible to re-appear in the examination as you have already passed completely in an earlier attempt
2.03
You are not on the roll with the Membership Number quoted by you (Clause 1.1).
2.05
Your application for registration of Section B with requisite fee has not been received/received with wrong branch/optional subject code number(s) (Clause 2.3).
2.06
You are not eligible for Section A Examination as your stipulated period of six years is expired with Winter 2010 Examination. Thereafter, your application for Re-registration for Section A Examination with requisite fee has not been received.
2.07
You are not eligible for Section B Examination as your stipulated period of six years is expired with Winter 2010 Examination. Thereafter, your application for Re-registration and registration of Section B (with demand draft of Rs. 1500/- an Rs. 3000/-) have not been received.
2.13
Since you were elected as T/ST member after 28 Feb 11, you are not eligible to appear in Summer 2011 examination as per rules.
2.14
You have already secured exemption in all subjects of Section B as per the scheme. Project report and/or laboratory experiments is/are yet to be completed.
2.15
Payment of examination fee by credit card as authorised by you has been declined by the bank.

6.I have filled exam form. Which documents should I enclose?
Only DD of requisite fee.
If you have changed exam centre then an application regarding this.
Send by speed post (not by private courier). Keep a Xerox of completed form and DD.
7.I have received my membership number, but, I do not want to appear in the upcoming AMIE exam. Is it possible?
If you do not want to appear in December exam, just don't fill exam form.
Even if you have filled exam form and received roll number, just do not sit in exams if you wish so.
For next exam, you have to fill exam form again with requisite fee and send it to IEI (after Feb 15 for Summer exams/after Aug 15 for Winter exams).
8.I have received membership number but not identity card and other documents. Can I apply for exams?
Yes, you can apply for forthcoming exams. Provided your date of election is Aug 31 (for latest Winter exam) or Feb 28 (for latest Summer exam).
Just fill the exam form (in the period prescribed, Generally Feb 15 to April 20 for Summer and Aug 16 to Oct 20 for Winter exams). Send this exam form with DD of requisite fee by speed post (as you can track speed post, do not send this by private courier service). Keep a Xerox of exam form and DD in your records (as safety measure).
Your identity card/other docs etc will come late.
9.I am appearing for section A exams. Do I need to fill the branch code in application form (or) leave it blank?
You should fill branch code if you are sure about your branch. However in case of any doubt (that you want to decide your branch after passing Section A), you should leave it blank.
10.Can I apply for section B registration and exam form simutaneously for next exam after announcement of result.
No. You will get registration form and identity card from IEI after you have passed Section A. You have to fill this form and send it to IEI, Kolkata.
11.I am ST Member of AMIE. I have given exam of section A from India. But now I am in doha(qatar). Can I appear for exam from same membership from Qatar exam centre?
You can appear with same membership. Just fill code of Doha exam centre in exam form. Attach an application giving reason for change of exam centre. Exam fee $150.
12.What are the dates for filling exam forms?
For Summer Exams
Feb 15 to April 15 (approx)
For Winter Exams
August 15 to Oct 15 (approx)
13.How should I confirm that my exam form has been accepted and I m eligible to appear for forthcoming exam.
You will not any letter at your home address regarding acceptance of exam form. However, you may get an sms ( but not always). Roll number/admit card generally appear on website http://www.ieindia.info/ or http://www.amiestudycircle.com/ about two weeks before start of exams.
14.I have applied to appear for four subjects for forthcoming exams.. If I don't appear in two or three subjects will they treat as a absent or Fail in the result. Will it give any impact to appear in next exams?
It will not affect you in any respect. You can appear in any number of subjects even after filling all the subjects in exam form. You can even drop the entire exam. You can appear in next exams in usual manner.
15.I received the membership through sms/letter but not documents, identity card etc. Should I fill exam form?
You can fill exam form for forthcoming exams if your date of election is on or before Feb 28 (for Summer exam) or August 31 (for Winter exam). This condition holds good for new membership. You will receive other documents at appropriate time from IEI, Kolkata. If you do not received these documents after a long time has passed, you should see your status by clicking on following links:
Identity card is generally sent separately after few weeks of sending membership number.
16. My membership was recently alloted on dated 27/2/010 .Membership No. is ST536307-7. Can I apply for Summer exams?
Fresh Membership
You can appear in forthcoming Summer exams if your date of election as member is on or before February 28.
You can appear in forthcoming Winter exams if your date of election as member is on or before August 31.
17.My reg. No. is 090200337950, sir am I eligible for AMIE exams?
This is your acknowledgement number. You can appear in AMIE exams only after receiving membership number which starts with ST or T.
18.I have sent exam form to IEI, Kolkata but so far I could not get acknowledgement slip. How would I know my status?
IEI generally does not send acknowledgement slip for receipt of exam form. You should http://www.ieindia.org/ or http://www.amiestudycircle.com/ for roll number and admit card about 15 days before start of exams.
