They are not interested in passing some subjects in old scheme and some in revised scheme. Now, they have shown interest to appear in Section A/Section B examination afresh in revised scheme, forfeiting their subject(s) exemption in old scheme.
The AMIE council during their 656th meeting has also made provisions to allow students who are remaining in the transitory block but wish to re-register due to the following reasons to make use of the same facility as above:
- Students who cannot complete their examinations either in Section A or Section B, within the balance period of time of the stipulated six years can apply for an early re-registration for examinations and take on a period of further six years to complete their course.
- The condition made is that the six year period will take effect from the date of the summer examination in the pertaining year in which the student send in his application form.
- Students in Section B will forfeit their right for exemptions and will lose any project work or laboratory work done up to the point of the re-registration as they will be reregistered as fresh students. However, they may retain the status they had in Section A.
