The
671st Special and 672nd Council Meetings of the Institution were
organised at the premises of the Uttarakhand Academy of Administration
(UAA), Ardwell Camp, Mallital, Nainital under the auspices of
Uttarakhand State Centre on 22-24 June 2012. Mr G Prabhakar, Immediate
Past President presided over the meeting in absence of Mr S L Garg,
President who could not attend the meeting due to his illness. The
meetings were graced by Mr N C Vaish, Mr Madan Lal, Rear Admiral K O
Thakare, Mr R P Gupta, Past Presidents and Mr N B Vasoya, Vice
President along with distinguished Council Members. The meeting was
coordinated by Maj Gen R K Sanan, VSM (Retd), Secretary and Director
General of the Institution. Various Engineering Division Board and
Committee Meetings were also held on June 22 - 23, 2012 prior to the
Council Meetings.
The Council deliberated on various issues including recommendations from CATE, Finance and other Committees during the two-day meetings. Important issues on Education, Membership, Bye-Laws & Regulations and other related matters were also deliberated threadbare for the cause of the Institution. Mr N C Vaish, Past President and Chairman, Strategic Plan Committee presented the Concept Paper for IEI Perspective Plan. A practical demonstration of the new Electronic Voting System of the Institution was made by Rear Admiral K O Thakare, NM, Past President in coordination with Maj Gen R K Sanan, VSM (Retd), Secretary & Director General. The august gathering was welcomed by Mr K P Tripathi, Chairman, Uttarakhand State Centre and the meeting was culminated with a vote of thanks by Mr M K Tayal, Honorary Secretary of Uttarakhand State Centre.
