New Building of the Meghalaya State Centre Inaugurated


The Institution of Engineers ( India ) large network of state and local centers across the country, recently   Meghalaya State Centre of the Institution completed the construction of new building of the Institution with the help and assistance of the IEI Headquarters and the members and well wishers. The building was inaugurated by
Mr A L Hek, Chairman, Meghalaya Urban development Authority and MLA from Pynthorumkhrah on April 20, 2011 in a function and get-togather of the members and invitees. Mr Hek, in his address, lauded the yeomen services rendered by the Institution and appealed to the graduate engineers to enroll themselves as the members of this premier Institution. Mr J B Poon, Chairman of the Centre, narrated the journey of the Institution since 1920. Mr K Marbaniang, Past Chairman of the Centre, also spoke on this occasion. Mr F E Kharshiing, Honorary Secretary of the Centre, proposed the vote of thanks.
