Info About AMIE Examination

AMIE offers a very flexible study time schedule for the students and they could complete the course without the added pressure of restricted time targets as in most other study streams. The course is constructed in a way to save a lot of unnecessary time and hassle a student will other wise have to bear on his own and at the cost of very high expenses which might be over an above the students scope of income. The institute has therefore made all possible arrangements to facilitate a smooth and continuous program of engineering studies of which a student will finally derive the ultimate professional achievements in life.

Exam duration
AMIE does not offer a fixed duration time for students to complete the program. Therefore a student may use up to an available time limit of six years in order to complete the Section A and a further time period of up to six years could be utilized to cover the Section B. The examinations are usually held in the first week of June and December of each year and a student may sit for a maximum of four subjects in one sitting.
Hence, a student in the diploma section can take all four of the subjects that he or she has to face in order to pass the Section A.

Examination Fee
The current examination fee set up is Rs. 1200.00 per semester. Students should note that this fee is for the entire semester and is not based on the individual subjects.

AMIE Examination centers
AMIE examinations are held in a number of exam centers which facilitates the student to take the exam at a centre that is most close and convenient. The centre should be selected in the application form submitted for the examination and in addition to the local exam centers the examination is also held in a number of overseas destinations in selected countries. Information for examination centers availability in overseas countries could be obtained by contacting the IEI help desk.
