Institution of Engineers( India ) and Institution of Electronic & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) are the professional Engineering Body. Degree of both the institution is highly recognized in India and abroad for job and higher studies.
AMIE is conducted by The Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata in almost all engineering branches (presently 10 branches) whereas AMIETE is conducted by The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, New Delhi in three branches Electronics/Computer/IT.
In Value, both are equal. AMIE is much easier to complete with less number of subjects.
Passing % in AMIE is 50% and that in AMIETE is 40%.
In AMIE, you can appear in section B only after passing section A. In AMIETE, you can appear in any section.
